🌝🌛 09.13.26 Ask the SGs Weekly Reading: Now That You Know 🌜🌝
Hello everyone,
Last week in “A New Perspective,” I talked about an easy-flowing connection called a Grand Air Trine between Mercury in Libra, Pluto in Aquarius, and Uranus in Gemini.
On the 12th, Mercury connected with Pluto. Then today, on the 13th, Mercury connects with Uranus, completing the triangle.
A trine is one of the easier aspects in astrology. A sextile creates an opportunity that we have to do something with, but a trine just drops something in our lap.
Three planets connecting this way in Air signs creates a Grand Air Trine.
Mercury is the everyday mind: how we think and process information. Uranus is the higher mind: those moments when something suddenly clicks. Pluto digs beneath the surface, like a therapist, to help us recognize something we may not have seen before.
This Grand Air Trine is a kind of Mind Cleanse. We’re opening the windows of the mind and letting some fresh air clear out the stale thinking.

Those of you who are part of the Spirit Circle will remember that in the September Astrology Forecast for the Spirit Circle membership, I called it a mind unf*ck. Lol. And that’s exactly what it is.
We’ve all been through a decade of mindf*ck energies that just don’t seem to let up. Now it’s time to clear our heads. Our world may not change, but the way we engage and the perspective we hold certainly can.
Later this month, a second Grand Air Trine involving the Sun shifts the focus from our thinking to our identity. We’ll talk about that in next week’s reading.
For now, something may click this weekend that helps you understand why something happened the way it did. You could see your own part in a situation differently or finally find the words for something you’ve been trying to understand.
And that new understanding changes what we do next.
This has certainly happened for me.
On Monday, the Virgo Sun sextiles Mars in Cancer. A sextile creates an opportunity, an opening that we choose to walk through, or not.
Virgo wants to be practical. Mars wants action. And because Mars is in Cancer, that highlights home, family, emotional needs, care, and protection. That could be our literal home, or where and how we feel most safe and secure.
So after all that thinking and realizing over the weekend, Monday gives us an opportunity to do something with our new understanding that helps us feel “more at home.”
Then on Tuesday, Venus in Scorpio squares Pluto retrograde in Aquarius as she opposes Chiron retrograde in Taurus. This creates a T-square in three fixed signs.
Venus in Scorpio takes us below the surface of our relationships and feelings to look at love, trust, intimacy, self-worth, money, and what we truly value.
Across from Venus, Chiron in Taurus can touch an old wound around self-worth, security, stability, or just having enough.
Then Pluto in Aquarius, the big “reset” button for the planet, squares both of them.
And a square is much more challenging than a trine. Squares help us build muscle, a little like going to the gym. It doesn’t always feel good in the moment, but we’re grateful for what we developed while we were there.
Pluto puts pressure on whatever is unresolved. And because all three are in fixed signs, we’re likely dealing with something we find hard to change. That’s what fixed signs do. They “fix” on something and don’t want to move.
This is where our earlier new understanding becomes more personal.
It’s one thing to see something differently. That can feel freeing. It’s another thing when our new perspective changes a relationship, pokes at an old hurt, rattles our sense of security, or reveals something unexpected about something we’ve always deeply valued.
Some of us may recognize why a situation keeps hurting and why we’ve held on, or how an old wound influences choices we make today.
And once we recognize the pattern, we can’t un-see it.
By Friday, Mercury, the thinker, in Libra opposes Saturn, the responsible one, doing his retrograde moonwalk in Aries.
An opposition creates a tug-of-war and a desire for balance. Mercury in Libra wants communication and cooperation. Saturn in Aries takes boundaries and personal responsibility seriously.
This could show up as a serious conversation or an internal decision.
Keeping the peace may no longer be enough. You may need to say something clearly or set a boundary. Or you may recognize your own responsibility in something and decide to handle it differently.
We begin by seeing something differently. Then what we’ve seen begins to touch something much deeper.
And by the end of the week, we’re looking at what we’re going to do with what we now know.
💞 This Week’s Tarot Card: The Prince of Spring

Well, this guy certainly isn’t sitting around thinking about what he might do someday. Lol. He’s riding a rabbit, for heaven’s sake. He’s on the move!
The Prince of Spring is confident and ready for action. When something needs to be done, he wants to get on with it.
And that fits this week’s astrology perfectly.
We begin the week clearing our minds so we can see something differently. Then the Sun and Mars give us an opportunity to act on it.
Mid-week, that Venus-Chiron-Pluto T-square takes us into much deeper territory. That’s where I think the Prince of Spring needs a little wisdom. Because there’s a big difference between acting and reacting.
If something touches an old wound this week, our first impulse may come from the hurt itself. That’s a knee-jerk reaction. We want to fire off the text or finally have the conversation we’ve been putting off.
And that may be exactly what needs to happen… maybe.
But before you climb on your rabbit and charge off into the cattails, 😂 give yourself a minute to make sure you’re acting from what you understand now, rather than reacting from what hurt you before.
That’s important as we get closer to Friday’s Mercury-Saturn opposition. Saturn wants us to take responsibility for our choices. He reminds us that what we say and what we do have consequences.
So I don’t think the Prince of Spring is telling us to sit still. He’s not.
I think he’s telling us that when we know what needs to be done, we can trust ourselves enough to do it. The difference this week may be where that action comes from.
Are you reacting from the old wound, or acting from the person you are today?
That’s the real opportunity in this week’s astrology.
💞 A Note from Faye
I said earlier that this week’s astrology has been showing up in my own life. Boy, has it ever.
Some of you already know that I’ve been dealing with some health problems that forced me to slow down. Several of my astrology clients have heard from me because I’ve had to delay their reports. I’m doing better, but recovery is going much more slowly than I would like.
And apparently slowing down is part of the lesson for me right now. Like the Prince of Spring, I’m not particularly good at it. Lol.
But something else happened this week.
Last week, I shared that a family relationship I thought might be lost unexpectedly reopened. On Thursday evening, we sat down together for the first time in almost three years.
There were hugs and laughter as we shared dinner together. I got to experience something I honestly didn’t know if I would ever have again.
Earlier that same evening, I sent a message involving another family relationship that has caused me a great deal of pain. I worked on that message for weeks because I wanted to respond differently this time. I didn’t want to argue my case or convince anyone that my version of events was the right one. I wanted to say what I needed to say clearly and then let it stand.
Both of those things happened on the Virgo New Moon.
That New Moon landed right in the middle of a T-square involving my natal Sun and Pluto and transiting Uranus. This is a much longer story in my chart that will continue for months, but Uranus is moving through my 6th house of health and daily life while opposing my Sun (identity) and squaring Pluto, the therapist and transformer.
I don’t think I could have ordered a more literal demonstration if I tried.
My health has changed my daily life and forced me to stop.
One family relationship came back into my life in a way I never expected.
And with another, I finally stopped trying to get a different outcome from the same old conversation.
That’s this week’s astrology: seeing something differently changes what we do next.
I can’t control how another person responds to me. I can’t force my body to recover on my schedule. And I certainly can’t control everything happening in the world around me.
But I can decide how I engage with what is happening.
I guess that’s part of the mind unf*ck too. 😂
Sometimes the change begins when we finally see something clearly enough to respond differently.
I hope this week’s reading gives you a place to stand where a fresh breeze can help you clarify things.
💞 Faye
