You can read this week's blog post at https://www.thehealingriver.net/post/trauma-terror-and-trepidation

There’s a lot happening in the world right now, and it’s affecting all of us in very real ways. We feel it at the gas pump, at the grocery store, and in the cost of everyday life. We’re all under pressure to find ways to keep up.
We’re not ignoring what’s happening. Instead, we’re looking at how we stay grounded without getting pulled into the chaos. This week’s astrology wants us to give ourselves space to think clearly so we can decide what we’re going to do with what’s coming at us.
As we move into the next seven days, there’s a massive pileup of planets in Aries. We’ve seen pileups before, and they always have a big impact, but this one is much bigger than most.
A new moon in Aries on April 17 was part of a rare seven-planet super stellium that adds incredible power to the New Moon’s fresh start in our identity and self-confidence. Neptune, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Chiron, the Sun, and the Moon were all there.
The day before that New Moon the Sun met Chiron by exact degree, giving us the confidence to release our victim identity. We’re tossing out the old stories of how we’ve been used and abused to replace it with an identity of sovereignty. Those stories are 3D trauma that’s ready to be transformed into 5D wisdom.
This is no looking back, full speed ahead, with victimhood behind us, happening through our sovereign action. We’re choosing to live into our own declaration of independence as the old world ends and a new world begins.
Then if that’s not enough, after the Aries New Moon we move to the center of this week’s powerhouse energy — a triple conjunction in Aries between Mars, Saturn, and Mercury. These three planets are working together in a very direct way, and each one plays a clear role.
• Mars pushes for action. He wants movement. He wants a response.
• Saturn slows things down. He brings caution and responsibility, pointing to real-world consequences.
• Mercury processes information. He’s how we think, speak, and make decisions.
When these three come together, on top of our reclamation of sovereignty and the Aries New Moon, we feel pressure to respond, but at the same time, we know we can’t just react.
A reaction comes from a knee-jerk place — fast, emotional, based on old 3D trauma patterns.
A response comes from taking a moment to think things through so you can choose your words and actions through the 5D wisdom you’ve gained.
Last week, I said the Mars-Saturn meetup wanted to press hard on the gas pedal (Mars) and the brakes (Saturn) all at once. Then Mercury (3rd house energy) comes in to process our concern over what’s happening to our vehicle (re: our country).
This is happening in the SGs third house of communication, information, and what we take in from the world. And right now, there is a lot coming in. News, conversations, opinions — it can feel constant.
At the same time, we have Aries energy in our community’s fourth house of home, family, and your sense of safety. What you’re taking in is affecting how safe you feel. No kidding, right? We don’t need astrology to tell us that what’s happening in our world can come home to roost.
This week is about more than just what’s happening “out there.” It’s about how it lands in your safe space and in your daily life.
Thankfully, alongside this pressure, there’s support. A fire grand trine forms between the Mars–Saturn–Mercury conjunction in Aries in the 3rd house, the SGs community’s natal Moon in Leo in the 8th house, and our natal Mars in Sagittarius in the 12th.
This flow of energy tells us that we already know more than we think we do. And this week asks us to slow down enough to tap into that wisdom.
We don’t have to react to everything we see or hear. And we aren’t responsible to solve the problems of the world. But we do need to be mindful about what we’re taking in and how we’re responding to it.
This is a week for staying grounded, thinking clearly, and choosing our words and actions carefully.
If you want to look at how the Saturn in Aries cycle impacts the massive shift we’re experiencing through the lens of American politics, look for another post later this week with the subject line: Trickle Down Astrology Reading from Astrology by Faye.
Now let’s take a look at the card for this week: The Princess of Winter.

This is a card of clear thinking and direct communication. She’s observant, honest, and not afraid to say what needs to be said. She sees the truth quickly and speaks it plainly.
This lines up directly with this week’s astrology. With Mercury, Mars, and Saturn all working together in Aries, there’s a strong push to respond, to speak up, and to deal with things head-on.
But this kind of energy can come out fast and sharp. Words can land harder than intended. You might find yourself wanting to respond quickly, or feeling like something needs to be said right now.
The Princess of Winter reminds you to slow that down just enough to think it through.
You don’t need to hold back the truth. But you do want to choose carefully how you say it.
Not every message needs to be toned down, but it does need to be clear and intentional.
You may also find yourself on the receiving end of this energy — hearing things that feel blunt or difficult. If that happens, focus on what’s being said rather than how it’s being delivered. There may be something there that you need to hear.
This is a week for clear thinking, honest communication, and staying in control of your words.
To help facilitate navigating through this powerful week, here’s a breathing exercise you might want to consider.
Breath of Love Ritual
Sit or stand as you plant your bare feet firmly on the ground.
If you can’t be outside, place your bare feet on the floor while visualizing your feet on the cool green grass.
Set the intention to surround yourself in a crystalline sphere of unconditional love. Take a slow, deep breath in. See that breath of unconditional love entering your heart space. Now exhale and release it.
As you do this, think these words:
Breathing unconditional love into my heart for one. (5 seconds)
Releasing unconditional love from my heart for all. (5 seconds)
Do this as long as you want. I usually do it for at least 30 seconds. Often longer. If you follow the timing I suggest above, that takes you through three inhale-exhale cycles.
The idea is that you are taking in from Spirit — or inspiriting — unconditional universal love.
This is divine healing and balancing energy. You are receiving it into your heart space and into your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.
From there, you exhale and release that same inspirited unconditional love out to the world around you, into the collective.
We may not be able to stop the chaos and the madness that is going on in our world, but we can infuse it with love through our personal transformation. Each individual intention holds great power.
As we change ourselves, we change our world.
May this reading give you a solid place to stand during this fiery week.
