This week, Mercury and Pluto are in a challenging conversation. They’re going back and forth across the room, trying to figure out how they want to work together.

That means you might be thinking about something obsessively, going deeper with it to try and make sense of it all.

At the same time, Mars is moving fast in Aries so there’s a lot of push behind things this week. It doesn’t take much for something small to turn into something big.

And Mercury just moved into Taurus, which means once something is said, it tends to stick.

We also just had a Full Moon in Scorpio on May 1.

So you may already be feeling this and asking yourself:

• “Did I say too much?”

• “Did I react too strongly?”

• “Why did that hit me like that?”

Something that was being held in the deep waters of Scorpio has come up to the surface. And when it did, you might not have been ready to look at it. But it landed at your feet, and it felt like you had to do something. Even if you wanted to keep your mouth shut, you just had to say something.

That’s the push and pull of a Full Moon at work.

But even if you stepped into something and wish you’d handled it differently, you’re not stuck there. That Taurus energy may make it feel that way, but Pluto reminds you that you can go back and take a different approach.

That’s the difference between a knee-jerk reaction and a considered response.

And even though the Full Moon is behind us, that reaction energy is still at work.

So don’t forget — you’re going to feel the urge to react. But you still get to decide how you want to respond.

Because Mars in Aries wants to move things along, but Mercury in Taurus wants to process slowly, we’re sitting with a “fast-acting, slow-thinking” dynamic.

It reminds me of those cartoons we watched as kids, where someone’s heels are dug into the ground while someone else is pushing them forward, with dust flying everywhere.

In real life, this might look like a conversation where no one is willing to budge. Or saying something and standing by it no matter what. You might feel like you’re being pushed when you’d rather take your time. Or you might be the one pushing something forward because you feel like it needs to happen now.

So this week, your tone really matters. Timing does too, because once something is said under this energy, it wants to stick.

But if that happens, remember that you tap into Plutos energy that gives you the power to loosen things up and try again.

So be aware of situations where you feel the urge to push something forward, or you feel yourself digging in and not wanting to move at all.

That’s your moment to pause and decide how you want to handle things before they go any farther.

And this is where Mercury and Pluto really come into play. Because once something is said or happens… your mind doesn’t just leave it alone.

You may find yourself going over it again and again as you try to figure out what was meant. What was really going on. What’s underneath it.

This is where things can go one of two ways.

You might see something clearly.

Or…

you might start filling in the blanks.

That can look like reading into things, assuming motives, or connecting dots that may not belong together.

It can feel completely real when you’re in it. So just be aware. You may be picking up on something important.

Just give yourself a little space before you decide you’ve got the whole story.

Ask yourself, “Do I actually know this… or am I putting the pieces together?”

That pause matters, especially this week.

Because once your mind locks onto a story under this energy, it can be hard to let it go.

And this is where Pluto really makes a difference.

Mars may feel like he’s running the show this week, and he is. Things are moving fast, and there’s a strong push to act.

But Pluto is right there underneath it. He doesn’t rush. He doesn’t react.

Pluto slows things down just enough to ask, “What are you really doing here?”

So instead of everything turning into a quick reaction, Pluto gives you the chance to work with it.

You can take what’s happening and handle it in a way that actually moves something forward, instead of just burning through it.

That’s where you work smarter, not harder.

And right now, Pluto is sitting still in Aquarius directly across from our community Moon in Leo.

So this isn’t just something we feel in the moment and move on from. This is something that stays with us. We keep thinking about it and then it hits deeper than we might have expected

That’s Pluto.

Leo is the one on stage — expressing, sharing, being seen.

Aquarius is the audience — the group, the people taking it in.

With Pluto sitting in Aquarius, that connection is intensified.

So something that’s said or shared doesn’t just pass through. It lands.

And because Pluto is stationing retrograde right bye, he’s not in a hurry.

So this isn’t something that just comes and goes. It’s part of a much longer stretch.

But this is where your power is.

You don’t have to react to everything that comes up right away. You don’t have to decide what everything means in the moment.

Sit with it. Come back to it. Work with it, on your terms.

This week’s tarot card is Awakening.

This is a moment where you’re being asked to look at something differently, to step back and ask, “Wait a minute… what am I actually looking at here?”

Because with everything going on this week, before you know it, you’ve built a whole story around what you’ve need thinking about. It’s that l thing you can’t let go of.

This card comes in and tells us to pause and take a breath.

Turn it around and look at it from another angle. Give yourself a little space to see it more clearly.

And that upside-down image on the card says a lot.

Sometimes the shift isn’t in what’s happening, it’s in how you’re looking at it. That’s a change of perspective.

So if you find yourself:

• going over something again and again

• trying to figure out what it meant

• feeling pulled to react

This is your reminder to step back and look at it differently.

You’re going to feel the urge to react.

But you still get to decide how you respond.

I hope this reading gives you a calm place to stand during a week of fast moving energy.
